Dina this is spot ON!!! I share so many similar values with you on this, it’s time nutrition, and well-being in general, was so much more accessible and didn’t fuel more obsession and fear around “health”. Here for it congratulations you’ve inspired me too in getting my own blog set up on here so thank you x

That’s great to hear, thank you! Exactly, the fear around health is so UNhealthy. All the best with your blog, I look forward to reading it x

Thank you for articulating something that has been bothering me but I haven't had words for. Wellness culture feels exclusive and exhausting for people who can't give a large part of their time to it. Looking forward to reading and learning more!

I know what you mean. It took me a while to make sense of that uncomfortable feeling. Exclusive and exhausting is exactly what it is!

I remember reading an article a few years ago about the wellness industry and how it only caters to a small group of people. Your post reminded me of that article.

I'm also certified in nutrition and can relate to everything you've said here - especially when it comes to trends and miracle remedies.

I'm looking forward to reading more posts Dina and great title for your newsletter!!

THANK YOU for a fab introduction and for calling out shitty diet culture BS. I really believe that diet culture is ingrained in so much of us and that we shouldn't give out to those around us for participating. But newsletters like yours can open up the much-needed conversations and hold people accountable for giving into these toxic capitalist industries. Looking forward to reading!

Thank you, good to have you here. Yes exactly, it has become a normal and acceptable part of life, but it’s a bit gross!

I am definitely too busy to soak my nuts. I'm SO here for this. I have masses of food intolerances, leaky gut, IBS... so many things. I adore food but making it is so hard, specifically if I'm trying to follow the (often conflicting) recommendations. I'm always thinking I should be looking for new recipes and things I can eat... but forget to because of the things that keep me from soaking my nuts. Looking forward to seeing what you cook up for us!

Great stuff. We need nutritionists that transform nutrition into real eating in the real world!

May you find much success, and I look forward to reading more.

Take it! That's inspired by Michael Pollan's "Real Food," a definition that I write about all the time, like here:

I'm late to the party, but that means there is a lot for me to read and catch up on. I love your approach. I enjoy food and have mostly always eaten what I want. Now I'm getting older, I know I need to eat more of what my body needs (I probably should have always been doing that, but youth hid it from me🙄). I also need to be a better role model to the kids 🤔. So I'm off to binge - not on the fridge's contents but your posts. Thank you.

Thank you so much for the kind words, and welcome to the party! 🎉 I hear you, I'm also trying to tune in to the old bod, without giving up on the joy of food. It can be done! Enjoy bingeing on the posts (and the fridge 😶), I hope you find something useful here x
